We are proud to recognize the dedication and leadership of our principals, who guide our schools with unwavering commitment to student success. In honor of National Principals Month, we are spotlighting our incredible principal cohorts throughout October.

We close Principals' Month with this last set of messages from each of the school teams for their principals, who work tirelessly to create thriving, inclusive and academically rigorous environments for all YES Prep students. 

 

SOUTHWEST SECONDARY

Ms. Sadler is proud to be a part of the incredibly vibrant Southwest community. She enthusiastically supports the continuation of longstanding traditions that honor the community--like Fiestas Patrias and Fall Fest. She's excited for the future at Southwest as AP offerings have grown, and the staff is always seeking out opportunities for kids that otherwise wouldn’t exist--such as an aquatics science class and trips to NASA and Dynamo games.

SOUTHEAST SECONDARY 

Ms. Ryans is extremely proud of the opportunities that exist for students at Southeast--from AP programming to athletics. She's also proud to work alongside many incredible teachers--many of whom have chosen to work at Southeast over a long period of years and a growing number of whom are YES Prep alums.

 

FIFTH WARD SECONDARY

Ms. Pinkard is proud of the hard work that the passionate and dedicated teachers at Fifth Ward are putting in this year which has resulted in impressive student growth.

 

NORTHWEST SECONDARY

Mr. West is proud of building Northwest out to be a complete 6th-12th grade campus, contributing to the growth in Hawk Nation's student achievement data, indicative of its track to becoming one of YES Prep's high-performing schools; and instilling his value of relationships in the staff--value that is palpable at Northwest, as warmth can be felt in all interactions.

 

NORTHLINE SECONDARY

Ms. McGruder is proud to have founded YES Prep Northline and to have seen the founding class graduate last year. She's also proud of the growth that Northline has experienced over the years, and loves supporting Northline athletics!

 

BRAYS OAKS ELEMENTARY

As a founding principal, Ms. Smith is already setting an inspiring tone for our new campus, bringing years of experience and a passion for equitable education that’s felt in every decision she makes. Her dedication to building a supportive, inclusive environment is evident as she personally connects with our prospective families, ensuring every student feels valued from day one.
