YES Prep families,
We’re excited to share good news—YES Prep students made tremendous academic progress this year on the 2025 STAAR exams! These results reflect your child’s growth, their teachers’ dedication, and the powerful support you provide every day.
Thanks to our shared efforts, YES Prep outperformed the state in most subject areas, with a 3% greater increase in students meeting grade-level expectations compared to the Texas average.
Here are a few highlights:
Overall Growth
- Across all STAAR tests, YES Prep students grew stronger, achieving a 4% increase in students performing on grade level compared to 2024.
Elementary School (Grades 3–5)
- Our 3rd and 4th grade students who took the Spanish STAAR outshined the state average by a wide margin—an amazing accomplishment!
- 4th grade reading scores jumped by 11%, a powerful sign that our youngest learners are building strong foundations.
Middle School (Grades 6–8)
- Math achievement soared across the board, with 8th grade math seeing an 11% increase in students scoring on grade level.
- 8th grade science also shined, with a 12% gain—proof that our students are growing their curiosity and knowledge every day.
High School
- Big wins in Algebra I and Biology! Both end-of-course exams saw over 10% increases in students meeting grade level.
- Even better—while the state average dropped, YES Prep’s overall high school STAAR scores climbed 3%.
These results are more than just numbers. They’re a reflection of the effort, resilience, and brilliance of our students and educators. These results show what’s possible when every student receives the education they deserve.
