A quick reminder: ADA (Funding Period) time starts promptly at 10 AM each day. You must submit your 1st-period attendance at this designated time.
Between February 26th and March 19th, your child will be selecting the courses they intend to take for the 2024-2025 school year at school. The course request process is extremely important because it:
-
Ensures your child is on track to graduate
-
Provides an opportunity for your child to align their classes with their college and career goals
-
Helps your child be a competitive candidate in the college admissions process
-
Supports your child’s journey in becoming college-ready
To honor our shared commitment to your child’s success, we welcome your participation in the course request process. Prior to your child selecting their courses in school, we encourage you to have a conversation with your child about the courses that will be the best fit for them next year. Below are some questions you can ask your child to help them think through their best fit courses.
-
What courses do you need to take to stay on track to graduate?
-
What do you want to do in the future? And what courses are aligned with your future aspirations?
-
What AP courses are you considering to help you prepare for college?
To view your child’s progress towards graduation, we encourage you to log in to Skyward Family Access. For instructions on how to access Skyward, visit www.yesprep.org/families/dashboards.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Yuliana Arredondo, Director of College Counseling, at yuliana.arredondo@yesprep.org or 713-967-7924.
