Hello Wizard Families,
Here are the updated bus routes as of 12.03.24 If you have any questions or concerns regarding your students transportation, please call or email the front office at southeast@yesprep.org and will provide as much support as we can.
Wizard Families,
We have been so excited to welcome our Wizards back this week as we work hard to close out our first semester of the 24-25 Academic School Year. As you know, we want students to end their year as strong as they began. This means students should be asking their teachers now about grades, make-up opportunities, and assignment completion. One of our core values at Southeast is leadership, and end of a semester is the perfect opportunity for students to take ownership if their learning. We expect students to stay organized and advocate for support next week, rather than waiting until the week before break to try to cram things in. Please support us in making sure your Wizard is not procrastinating.
Attendance is still important each and every day. We still have two full weeks of this semester, and every single day counts. We have several unit assessments happening that last week before break, so please do not plan family vacations, doctor's appointments, or other events that would leave your Wizards with incomplete semester one grades. We need them at school until 4:00 on December 20th!
Thanks to our Wizard Family Association for sponsoring Coffee and Pan Dulce for our Staff as we returned from Fall Break! Staff were so excited to have a delicious treat to start the week. We appreciate our Wizard Families so much!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Ms. Ryans
Staffing Updates
All 3 Wizard Babies have made their entrance into the world! Ms. Czarnecki, Ms. Walthall, and Ms. Roberson will be spending time with their new little ones. We wish them the very best and can't wait to welcome them all back in the spring.
Ms. Czarnecki and Ms. Walthall communicated detailed information to their AP Students and families prior to their departure. Please make sure your Wizards pay attention to the automated deadlines in Schoology to stay on track.
During Ms. Roberson's absence, we are pleased to welcome Ms. Shania Stokley. Ms. Stockley is a YES Prep Teaching Fellow, and she will be working with Mr. Adre to ensure our 7th Grade Wizards continue to have strong English Language Arts instruction until Ms. Roberson's return. Welcome, Ms. Stokley!
Our middle school students recently cast their votes to elect members of the Student Council, emphasizing the importance of every voice in shaping our school community. The eye-catching “Every Vote Counts!” display was designed and hand-drawn by one of our talented 7th graders, Daniella Oti, showcasing creativity and school spirit. This collaborative effort celebrates democracy in action and highlights student leadership!
