In-Progress Progress Reports

Believe it or not,  your students have already completed their 3rd week of school!  It has been an absolute delight having them on campus learning with us!  For a snapshot of your student's current grades in each of their courses, please log into your Skyward Family Access account to see their progress report.  The last day of the 1st Quarter is October 14th, so you can expect report cards shortly after that for final quarterly grades and course credit information.

In Skyward Family Access you can also:

•        Update contact information for the school year

•        Provide current health information

•        Access student grades, attendance and class schedule when applicable

Log into Skyward at: https://skyward.iscorp.com/YESPrepTXStuSTS/ using Google Chrome. Refer to the email from Skyward for your log in information. 

Please make sure to complete all back to school forms in Skyward if you haven't already!  It is critically important that we have the most current contact information for all guardians on file, so that we have the best way to contact you in an emergency.

Lunches

We provide free breakfast and lunch to all students. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch if they prefer, but lunches purchased off campus may not be delivered to students during the school day.  If a student forgets their lunch packed at home, a guardian may drop off the lunch and the front office will leave it on the cart in the front lobby for a student to retrieve on their way to lunch. They will not be called out of class to pick up a forgotten lunch as we want them to be fully engaged in class and not miss any instruction.

Transportation

We continue to be so grateful for your patience as our bus drivers do their best to accommodate all of our routes on a daily basis!  Please make sure you are using the latest bus route information that can be found here.

Early Student Pick Up

Families that need to pick up their student(s) for any reason outside of arrival and dismissal will come to the front office and sign out their student(s).  A YES Prep staff member will visually check the photo I.D. of the parent/guardian or approved emergency contact before releasing the student. No students may be picked up early after 3:30 pm. They would need to wait until normal dismissal at 4:00 pm.

Para obtener una instantánea de las calificaciones actuales de su estudiante en cada uno de sus cursos, inicie sesión en su cuenta de Skyward Family Access para ver su informe de progreso. El último día del primer trimestre es el 14 de octubre, por lo que puede esperar boletas de calificaciones poco después para las calificaciones finales trimestrales y la información de crédito del curso.

En Skyward Family Access también puede:

• Actualizar la información de contacto para el año escolar

Almuerzos

Ofrecemos desayuno y almuerzo gratis a todos los estudiantes. Los estudiantes pueden traer su propio almuerzo si lo prefieren, pero los almuerzos comprados fuera del campus no se pueden entregar a los estudiantes durante el día escolar. Si un estudiante olvida su almuerzo empacado en casa, un tutor puede dejar el almuerzo y la oficina principal lo dejará en el carrito en el vestíbulo para que un estudiante lo recoja de camino al almuerzo. No se les llamará fuera de clase para recoger un almuerzo olvidado ya que queremos que estén completamente involucrados en la clase y no se pierdan ninguna instrucción.

Transporte

Seguimos estando muy agradecidos por su paciencia mientras nuestros conductores de autobús hacen todo lo posible para adaptarse a todas nuestras rutas a diario. Asegúrese de estar utilizando la información más reciente sobre rutas de autobús que se puede encontrar aquí.

Recogida temprana de estudiantes

Las familias que necesiten recoger a su (s) estudiante (s) por cualquier motivo fuera de la llegada y la salida, vendrán a la oficina principal y firmarán la salida de su (s) estudiante (s). Un miembro del personal de YES Prep revisará visualmente la identificación con foto. del padre / tutor o contacto de emergencia aprobado antes de dejar al estudiante. No se puede recoger a ningún estudiante temprano después de las 3:30 pm. Tendrían que esperar hasta la salida normal a las 4:00 pm.

Dress Code Reminders

As a reminder, this year students can wear school appropriate free dress. There are a few exceptions to this. As a general rule, please go to YES Prep Southeast's website and view our supplemental handbook for more information and an exhaustive list.

• Shoes must have soles and backs (crocs and slippers are not allowed)
• Shorts and skirts must come to at least mid-thigh
• Ripped or distressed jeans are permitted. Any rips or holes must cover areas above mid-thigh.
• Athletic gear is not allowed. This includes sweat pants, athletic shorts, yoga pants or leggings.
• Joggers are allowed as long as they are not made of sweat pants material.
• Tank tops or spaghetti straps are not allowed and all midriffs (stomachs) must be fully covered.
• Students can wear a hoodie to school however the hood must not go over the head. Students can wear hats as long as the ears are exposed.

Student Cell Phone Use

The use of a cell phone is not required for your student to be successful at YES Prep Southeast. Students will not be permitted to use a cell phone during instruction time. They can use their cell phones during arrival (until 8:30) and during dismissal (after 4pm). High School students may be permitted to use cell phones during lunch and activity time. We are also asking that you do not contact your child on their cell phones throughout the school day. If there is an emergency, please contact the front office so that we can relay the message to your child in a private manner as to not disrupt the learning of others. If a cell phone is out or makes any noise during instructional time, the phone may be collected and will require a parent to retrieve it from the front office at the end of the day.
