6th Grade Fall Bid Trip

Fall Theme Week!! #StudentAppreciationWeek

Evacuation Drill - Glows and Glows

This week we had our October evacuation drill! While most drills will be announced to students and staff ahead of time, some will only happen by surprise. Please speak with your student(s) about the importance of the drills and why we practice them. It is important that all students are following directions, quiet and listening well as we navigate through the exercise. Our biggest GLOW is that we cleared the building in 3 minutes and 2 seconds. Our biggest area of growth is the amount of students with phones and earbuds. Please keep in mind, if students are seen with phones or earbuds the will be taken up and turned into the front office. There is a $15 fee to recover and can only be picked up by a parent. Please reach out to Jacob.Barton@yesprep.org with any questions or concerns.

GROWS

GLOWS

  • Middle School was loud/screaming as they exit
  • Many students with phones out and earbuds in. All staff should be taking these items up if they are out
  • Upstairs room doors left open - We close the doors for all evacuation drills to prevent the spread of fire

  • Building cleared in 3 min 2 sec.
  • Many staff praising students for being quiet and organized
  • Shout out to all staff and students on the soccer field for displaying excellent behavior
  • Teachers were actively praising students
  • All doors downstairs were closed

Our Next WFA Meeting will be on Wednesday, November 2nd 9:30am-10:10am in the Union (cafeteria). Please sign-in at the Front Office to get a visitor badge.
