Uniform Policy
22-23 Dress Code
YES Prep Public Schools believes in the power of community and school pride while also deeply valuing a student’s right to express their individuality without the fear of unnecessary discipline, body shaming, or the confines of gender norms. Students have the right to be treated equitably and dress code enforcement at YES Prep Public Schools will not create disparities, reinforce or increase the marginalization of any group, nor will it be unfairly enforced more strictly against a student because of racial identity, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, cultural or religious identity, household income, body size or type, or body maturity.
For the 22-23 school year Yes Prep Southeast's students will not wear uniforms. In lieu of a uniform, students are also permitted to wear a school appropriate t-shirt or polo of their choice Monday-Thursday with school appropriate bottoms. On Friday, students are permitted to wear school appropriate free dress. The tops and bottoms of all articles of clothing must touch (i.e. no crop tops or sagging pants) and clothing must cover the same amount of skin as the school uniform would. Crocs will also be permitted as long as they are in sports mode. Please see the campus supplement for more information. This document is located on YES Prep Southeast’s website and will be updated with the most recent changes by August 1st, 2022.
